He's an award-winning landscape and furniture designer, television presenter and author. Blending practical expertise and passionate consumer education, he's a leading voice in home design and renovation.

A Passionate Landscape

Design
Jamie and his team have received more than 38 design awards in landscape architecture and design, including gold medals in Tokyo, New Zealand, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne and a Gold Medal at the Chelsea Flower Show in London.
The practice works across Green Architecture, Landscape, Interiors and a secret passion of Durie’s, product and furniture design.
Media
Durie has hosted over 56 television design shows across three continents. Appearing on Oprah Winfrey for five years, he then hosted another 18 lifestyle and design shows in the US. In Australia he’s hosted many favourites, including Backyard Blitz. He’s authored 12 best-selling design books and contributed to publications including Woman’s Weekly, Sunday Life, Home Beautiful and more.
The Environment
Jamie has worked in the environmental sector for over 28 years. He was selected to train with Al Gore and to be a part of the Climate Change Group. An ambassador for Planet Ark’s National Tree Day for over 21 years, he’s worked on campaigns with the United Nations in New York, Greening Australia, the Australian Conservation Foundation and many others.
Jamie was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2013 for services to the environment & Australian design.
Family
Durie is a dedicated family man. He and partner, Ameka Jane have two children: daughter, Beau and son Nash.
His deep family bond influences his design ethos, which promotes the harmonious relationship between people and the environment. Jamie Durie’s work and life represent a balance of creativity, community and love for the outdoors.
