  • Specifically, the outdoor doorphone is battery-powered and supports solar charging, thus does not require electricity wiring during the setup. Furthermore, the outdoor doorphone connects with the indoor touch screen through Wi-Fi, and does not require internet wiring between the two devices. However, wiring is needed to connect the doorphone to obtain gate/door controls, and users also need to use power cable to connect the indoor screen to the power outlet.
  • Only the outdoor video doorphone supports solar power charging and is compatible with the included solar panel. The indoor screen needs to be connected to a power outlet. The inclusion of the supporting solar panel in the EP7 kit is intended to provide an additional power source for the main device, helping to extend the battery life of the doorphone to reduce the frequency of recharging. Please note that the solar panel is not the primary or only option to power your EP7 doorphone , as its charging efficiency is highly dependent on sunlight exposure (which can be greatly affected by the location and orientation of the solar panel and whether other objects in the area are blocking sunlight) and the frequency of unlocking activities (opening the controlled door). If the solar panel is not able to keep the EP7 powered on, you can simply remove the battery from the doorphone by unscrewing the battery cover, and charge the battery indoors without moving the main device itself.
  • Only the outdoor video doorphone and the solar panel are weatherproof. The touch screen needs to be installed indoors.
  • Users are able to customize the ringtone sent by the indoor display by touch controls or via the EZVIZ App. The outdoor doorbell only provides one default ringtone and cannot be customized.
  • The cloud storage service is only available in certain markets. Please verify the availability before making a purchase.
  • Data from EZVIZ Lab‘s test results under standard conditions. Will vary with the frequency and complexity of the activity captured, and other environmental factors.
  • Users can draw in rectangles to customize up to 4 privacy zones.
